There are some things I like about this and some things that just didn't work. It's on a large canvas so at resize it looked kinda funky - mainly the highlights. I kinda expected that since my palette was all wrong when I started those. But the hair makes it all better. Going to probably tone down some areas and keep working on it as the night goes on.

Comments loved.

Done especially for Otakon. This is the painted version of the original Beautiful In Heaven: [link]

[edit] Made some small changes to the shadows and some of the contrasts. I'm mostly satisfied with this now.

Juno comes from the comic Star Cross'd Destiny which can be found here: [link]

I love how you did the glowy effects on her eyes! Her hair is so pretty. :D

Wow, I like this piece, especially the way that you've done the eyes, and the background looks awesome.

Thank you so much! I have an affection for eyes. :D And the background is of the square in New Orleans at night. It's quite beautiful when misty. :)

Can I ask, is there a tutorial floating about at all for the soft glow done on the eyes? Or for how you edit photos to give the backgrounds more of a painterly feel? I'm still trying to find my way about doing on the computer. ^^;

Not that I know of, unfortunately. I may do one someday but probably not anytime soon since I am so busy with the comic and school. I recommend to just keep experimenting. :) That's how I learned.

Ah, I see. Well, it was worth a try. I haven't got a tablet at the moment, so I've not had much chance for experimentation in GIMP or photoshop, but thanks for the advice.

I'm sorry, but you have uploaded your deviation to the wrong location: The Anthro Gallery was created to host pictures featuring anthropomorphic creatures (ascribing human characteristics to a non-human being or object, usually (but not limited to) an animal), and your picture doesn't fit that definition: therefore, it has been moved.

This time, your deviation has been relocated to scraps; Please re-read the gallery description next time you attempt to submit something to deviantART - you are free to relocate it to an appropriate category. Take care, and have a nice day!

Wow, I'm sorry Skifi - I didn't realize this ended up in Anthro... I know exactly what it is too. Odd. Thanks! I'll fix that.
